An Indigenous-woman-owned market & community space
The Flagstaff Mountain-Town Market was founded and is run by Meg Kabotie Adakai. It's a market and a gathering place, built to support local food and agriculture, small businesses, art, music, and education in and around Flagstaff.
Our mission
The market exists to provide the benefits of local food, art, community support, music, and education to all communities and people in and around Flagstaff, with special emphasis placed upon groups who have been historically marginalized. We make a point of welcoming businesses owned by women and people of color, and vendors who are new to selling.
A market that funds food equity
The Mountain-Town Market runs on a hybrid model: the downtown market helps fund newer markets in less-resourced and less-established parts of town, with the goal of increasing food equity here in Flagstaff and the surrounding communities. When you shop or sell with us downtown, you're helping bring local food closer to more neighborhoods.
What you'll find
We're a hybrid of farmers-market growers, flea and vintage vendors, Native and local artisans, makers and vendors new to markets, community organizations, and musicians. Expect produce, bread, honey, prepared food, handmade goods, education, and live music, a little different at every market.
